    Plone is a ready-to-run content management system that is built on the powerful and free Zope application server. Plone is easy to set up, extremely flexible, and provides you with a system for managing web content that is ideal for project groups, communities, web sites, extranets and intranets.

    Rakun aims to integrate database applications into Plone. Currently, it makes existing databases accessible through Plone and supports business logic via scripts. The long-term goal is to provide an enterprise application development framework complete with detailed authorization, workflows, report generation etc.Rakun uses Formulator for specifying the database properties in Zope. It supports PostgreSQL, MySQL, SQLit, Oracle DB (beta)

    Zope is an open source application server for building content management systems, intranets, portals, and custom applications. The Zope community consists of hundreds of companies and thousands of developers all over the world, working on building the platform and Zope applications. Zope is written in Python, a highly-productive, object-oriented scripting language.

    Formulator is a Zope product that facilitates the creation of webforms, and the subsequent validation and conversion of user input. Formulator extends Zope with a form object to which fields can be added. A variety of form fields are supplied, allowing the input of text, numbers, lists, datetime data, email addresses, and much more. Forms can be constructed by using the normal Zope Management Interface, and subsequently used in your own web sites.

    Siege is a regression test and benchmark utility. It can stress test a single URL with a user defined number of simulated users, or it can read many URLs into memory and stress them simultaneously. The program reports the total number of hits recorded, bytes transferred, response time, concurrency, and return status. Siege supports HTTP/1.0 and 1.1 protocols, GET and POST directives, cookies, transaction logging, and basic authentication. Its features are configurable on a per user basis.
